Available in packs of two, four or six, the 12 LITOM LED Solar Landscape Lights are extremely bright. They light up even the darkest backyard, patio or driveway with ease. If you need long lasting solar lights for safety, then these are for you. However, their bulky design may mean they are not suitable for every homeowner.
12 LITOM solar-powered LED landscape spotlights are adjustable in two lighting modes from 6 to 12 hours, depending on charging and settings. These highly durable solar lights have 12 LEDs per bulb and automatically turn on when low light is first detected and turn off at sunrise.
The LITOM 12 LED Solar Landscape Light is available at Walmart (opens in a new tab) for $29.98 for two, $55.35 for four, and $65 for six.
Made from heavy-duty ABS plastic, these aren’t the most aesthetically pleasing solar lights on the market. Although they passed all of our strength tests, the construction is bulky and not suitable for every home or landscaping. During the day, you will easily find 12 LITOM LED Solar Landscape Lights in your yard – recessive solar lights; despite the presence of built-in solar panels, they are not. Outside of my early 1900s pottery house, they seemed a little out of place.
However, LITOM 12 Solar LED Landscape Lights are built for practicality. The light can be adjusted up to 120 degrees and the solar panel can be adjusted up to 90 degrees. Each light has 12 LEDs for optimal brightness. If you want to mount it on a wall, you can remove the attached garden rod, but if you plan to mount it in the ground, the plastic is thick so it’s not likely to break.
12 LITOM LED Solar Landscape Lights are very easy to assemble and install. Mine are pre-assembled on plastic stands, but if you plan to mount them to the wall, you can easily remove the stands.
You simply stick them into the ground to install. We were reached quickly, but it is worth noting that it has recently rained. If your soil is hard and dry, you may need to sprinkle some water first to soften it up and then loosen the soil with a hand shovel. Once they are on the ground, you can adjust the direction of the light by tightening or loosening the knob. Be sure to turn on the sensors so that they turn on and off automatically at dusk and dawn. Note that pressing the power button once puts it into low light mode (it still looks bright to me); a second press puts it into bright mode, and a second press turns it off.
The kit includes six screws and dowels if you want to mount them on the wall. I just recommend noting where you plan to install them first.
Wherever you set them up, be sure to charge them by placing them in direct sunlight during the day. Also, be prepared to let them charge all day before they start working properly.
After a day of charging, these solar-powered spotlights turn on reliably at dusk and turn off at dawn. In any case, they turn on more often than we would like. They stayed there most of the time on cloudy days thanks to the impressive battery. I don’t need them at the moment, so the sensor might be too sensitive, although I can turn them off manually if I want to.
The 12 LITOM Solar LED Landscape Lights are impressive for how much they light up my driveway and how bright they are. They have two brightness modes: the default low light mode gives a slightly dimmer light (I still found it bright enough to use as my normal setting) for about 12 hours. Full power mode gives about 6 hours of light, so if you want it to run continuously all night, this is not the best setting.
The lights are also on and stay on under various conditions. They didn’t give up on rainy nights, and after four hours in the fridge in the shower, they showed no signs of damage.
12 LITOM LED Solar Landscape Spotlights are extremely durable. They lasted a month in all conditions with no signs of wear. Made from durable ABS plastic with an IP67 waterproof rating, they won’t break after spending some time in my fridge or in hot and humid conditions. Some online reviewers suggest that if temperatures often drop below freezing, it’s best to store these lights in case it rains, as they may not charge efficiently. However, I haven’t had any issues with them after they’ve been in my fridge for a while.
They have withstood heavy rain without any sign of leakage, a common problem with other solar lights. They also didn’t budge in strong winds, perhaps in part because of their thick, long stakes. Even my toddler, who quickly picked up the other solar lights we used in testing, had more trouble with the LITOM 12 LED Solar Landscape Spotlight.
Available in packs of two, four or six, the 12 LITOM LED Solar Spotlights are built to last. They go underground quickly and, unlike the URPOWER 2-in-1 Waterproof 4-LED Solar Spotlight, don’t wobble when installed – perfect if you have pets that love to dig or a toddler who can pull everything out. The 12 LITOM LED Solar Landscape Spotlights passed all of our durability and weather resistance tests and, unlike other spotlights we’ve tested, kept on on cloudy days and stayed on even after a heavy downpour.
The lights are bright. They light up even the darkest backyard with ease. This is a great option for consumers looking for bright, modern solar-powered lights that can handle rough weather conditions.
